Trust & Safety

Safety is the product, not a feature

Meeting and travelling with new people needs more care than ordinary social networking. Here is how we protect members, their data and their children's privacy.

Layers of protection

Before, during and after every meeting

No single check makes a community safe. Several small ones together do.

Identity verification

Members confirm their identity with an official ID and a selfie through a certified verification provider before joining trips. We never show ID documents to other members.

Confirmed e-mail

Every account starts with a confirmed e-mail address. Unconfirmed accounts cannot log in.

Group-first meetings

First meetings always happen in a group and in a public place, never one-to-one at someone's home.

Verified reviews

Only people who actually travelled or stayed together can review each other.

Report & block

Report a member or a message in two taps. A trained person reviews every report, usually within 24 hours.

Moderators on every trip

Each trip has a host and a moderator with an emergency contact, from the group chat to the journey home.

Technical security

Your account is protected like an online bank

We use the same protection professional platforms use, and we keep your data in the European Union.

Encryption everywhere

All traffic is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS with HSTS). Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in readable form.

Two-factor log-in

Add an authenticator app so a stolen password alone is not enough to enter your account.

Bot protection

Sign-up, log-in and every form are protected by an invisible security check (Cloudflare Turnstile) and rate limits.

Leaked-password check

New passwords are checked against known data breaches without your password ever leaving your device.

Strict data separation

Database rules make sure each member can only ever read and change their own data.

EU servers & GDPR

Member data is stored in Frankfurt am Main. You can download or delete your data at any time from your account.

For members

Good habits when you meet

  • Keep first meetings in a group and in public
  • Use the club chat until you feel comfortable sharing your number
  • Travel independently to and from meeting points
  • Tell a friend where you are going
  • Never send money to another member
  • Trust your instinct and leave if something feels wrong

For hosts (phase two)

Hosting comes with clear rules

  • ID verification and, where possible, a certificate of good conduct
  • A private, lockable room for guests
  • Written house rules before every stay
  • Reviews from verified guests only
  • Insurance and a 24/7 support line

Something wrong?

Report it, we act on it

Use the report button on any profile or message, or contact our trust and safety team directly. We take every report seriously, act within 24 hours and protect the identity of the person reporting.

In an emergency, always call the local emergency number first: 112 anywhere in the EU, 110 for the police in Germany.
